Clearcoat
Clearcoat is a premium grade, high solid (HS) protective topcoat designed to deliver an outstanding crystal clear glass finish over basecoat systems.
Technical Property | Official Certified Value | Engineering Benefit |
Classification | High-Solid 2K Acrylic Polyurethane Clearcoat | Exceptional film build and robust protective thickness per coat |
UV & Weather Resistance | Premium UV Filter Technology | Long-term yellowing prevention and color depth protection |
Surface Finish & Flow | Excellent Flow & Self-Leveling Properties | Mirror-like, high-gloss surface that significantly cuts buffing time |
Scratch & Chemical Defense | High Scratch & Solvent Resistance | Shielding against minor abrasions, fuel spills, and harsh weather |
Adhesion & Flexibility | Seamless Cross-linking with Basecoats | Eliminates risks of peeling or delamination under high temperatures |
Mirror-Like Glass Finish: Accentuates the deep brilliance of metallic, pearl, and solid automotive basecoats.
Advanced Scratch-Resistance: Formulated with elastic polymer technology that resists micro-scratches from automated car washing.
Optimized Baking/Air-Drying Cycle: Dries quickly under ambient workshop temperatures or inside heating booths, shortening repair cycle times.
Easy Sanding and Buffing: Allows effortless removal of dust inclusions and orange peel with fine sandpaper and compounding.
High Solid Chemistry (HS): Higher solid content yields thicker coverage per pass, reducing material consumption and VOC emissions in 2026.
Final high-gloss protective sealing layer in the standard wet-on-wet automotive basecoat/clearcoat refinishing systems.
Heavy-duty gloss coating for carbon fiber parts, fiberglass, and exterior metal trim exposed to weathering.
Marine topside clear-coating for premium wooden parts and yachts requiring exceptional salt-water resistance.
High-volume procurement integration for professional bodyshops, vehicle manufacturing plants, and coating distributors in Egypt.
Hardener Mixing Ratio: Mix the clearcoat with the dedicated CMB 2K Hardener according to the exact product mixing ratio (e.g., 2:1 by volume). Thin with 10% to 20% of premium Acrylic Thinner to adjust spray viscosity.
Pot Life Management: Stir the mixture thoroughly and apply immediately within the recommended pot life window to avoid polymerization inside the equipment.
Spraying Technique: Use a gravity-feed spray gun (nozzle: 1.3 mm to 1.4 mm) at standard operating air pressure. Apply 2 full, wet coats with a 5 to 10-minute flash-off period between applications.
Curing & Buffing: Allow a full 24-hour air-dry at 25°C or force-dry in a spray booth at 60°C for 30 minutes before subjecting the cured surface to polishing, wet-sanding, or washing.
