Insutech IF2 System
Insutech IF2 System
Insutech IF2 System is a specialized engineering solution designed for the comprehensive protection of Raft Foundations and Combined Footings.
Blinding Concrete: The initial leveling layer poured over compacted sub-soil.
Insucoat Primer: A high-performance bituminous primer that ensures maximum adhesion between the concrete and the membrane.
Primary Waterproofing Layer (Insuultra / Insuprene): A 4mm thick, torch-applied, polymer-modified bitumen membrane (APP or SBS) designed for heavy-duty applications.
Secondary Overlap Layer: In areas with high moisture, a secondary layer is applied to provide cross-laminated protection and eliminate joint vulnerability.
Protection Layer (Screed or Protection Boards): A thin concrete screed or bituminous boards are placed over the membrane to protect it from mechanical damage during the installation of heavy raft reinforcement steel.
Consultants prioritize the IF2 system in the following engineering scenarios:
High-Load Buildings: Structures utilizing raft foundations to distribute massive structural loads.
Low Water Tables: Sites where the foundation is close to or slightly below the groundwater level.
Large Residential Compounds: To ensure dry basements, underground parking, and storage facilities.
Aggressive Soil Conditions: Soils containing high levels of sulfates and chlorides that could chemically attack the concrete.
Load-Bearing Capacity: The membranes used are specifically formulated to withstand the compression forces of large buildings without losing integrity.
High Elasticity: The system maintains flexibility, allowing it to accommodate minor soil settlements without cracking or tearing.
Thermal Fusion (Torch-Applied): Heat-welded joints turn the individual rolls into a monolithic, seamless sheet covering the entire building footprint.
Global Compliance: Fully compliant with the 2026 Egyptian Building Code and international ASTM/EN waterproofing standards.
