Kem Crack
Kem Crack
Kem Crack is an advanced, non-shrink structural crack filler compound engineered mathematically with high-performance polymers and specialized micro-fillers for sealing and repairing cracks across architectural substrates.
Technical Property | Value / Description | Engineering Benefit |
Classification | Crack Treatment & Structural Repair Mortars | Complete technical engineering solution to stop physical crack propagation |
Chemical Base | Modified polymer matrix fortified with mineral micro-fillers | Outstanding chemical and mechanical interlocking with porous concrete & renders |
Appearance & Consistence | Thixotropic, high-viscosity structural paste | Excellent sag resistance inside overhead configurations and vertical fissures |
Volumetric Shrinkage | $0\%$ - Absolute Volume Stability rating | Eliminates concave drop or indentation inside the crack core upon dry-cure |
Moisture Resistance | Superior Hydrophobic Shielding | Isolates internal reinforcing rebar against humidity ingress and oxidation |

Absolute Shrinkage-Free Sealing: Completely packs the crack cavity and remains flush with the adjacent plane without structural sagging, eliminating double-troweling labor.
Dynamic Structural Elasticity: Absorbs micro-structural framework vibrations and thermal movements, preventing crack re-appearance or structural fatigue.
Fortified Interfacial Adhesion: Delivers anchoring forces onto concrete, masonry blockworks, aged renders, and plasterboards that withstand high shear stresses.
Aggressive Weathering Resistance: Resists continuous direct UV solar exposure, driving rain, and exterior high humidity without chalking, flaking, or structural degradation.
Premium Sandable Smoothness: Easily sands down to a feather-edged finish, rendering the repaired crack boundary entirely invisible beneath final primer applications.
Sealing, bridging, and finishing exterior and interior masonry cracks, hairline fissures, and facade defects before paint topcoating.
Repairing dynamic fissures caused by building minor settling or thermal stress intersections at concrete column-brickwork joints.
Filling and profiling concrete honeycombing, joint cavities, and surface blowholes before applying waterproofing membranes (e.g., Kemaproof).
Consolidating and sealing cracked substrates during commercial structural restoration phases and national contracting maintenance tenders.
Crack Preparation: Route the crack mechanically using an angle grinder or chaser into a clean $V$-shaped groove to maximize product penetration. Clean the groove thoroughly from dust, loose scales, and debris using compressed air or structural brushes.
Priming Phase: Prime the inside of the routed crack cavity with a compatible water-based sealer or pre-dampen with clean water (based on product base datasheet parameters) to manage substrate fluid suction.
Execution Protocol: Press Kem Crack compound firmly into the opened channel using a stiff steel joint knife, packing the depth completely to eliminate internal voids, then trowel flush with the wall surface.
Sanding & Undercoating: Allow the completed repair matrix to cure fully for 3 to 5 hours. Lightly sand down using fine sandpaper to achieve an architectural profile. Remove all residual dust prior to applying undercoat primers.
