Floorbond
Floorbond
Floorbond is a specialized flooring polymer bonding agent and additive designed to enhance the adhesion, durability, and mechanical properties of floor screeds and concrete toppings.
Technical Property | Official Certified Value | Engineering Benefit |
Polymer Chemistry | Specialized Flooring Polymer Emulsion | Increases bond strength between concrete slabs and top screeds |
Abrasion Resistance | High Wear-Resistant Modifier | Reduces dust formation and withstands heavy vehicular traffic |
Permeability Control | Dense Pore Structure Formation | Restricts ingress of moisture, oils, and mild chemical spills |
Shrinkage Control | Reduced Drying Shrinkage Formula | Prevents map cracking and edge curling in floor toppings |
floorbond
Maximum Bond Strength: Guarantees permanent adhesion of floor renders and screeds to structural slabs.
Enhanced Abrasion Resistance: Significantly reduces surface wear and dust generation under heavy traffic.
Reduced Absorption: Blocks moisture absorption and protects against chemical and oil penetration.
Crack Reduction: Minimizes shrinkage and thermal cracking in cementitious floor toppings.
Slurry bond coat for concrete floor overlays, industrial plants, and parking decks.
Polymer modifier for floor screeds (Screed Mortar) prior to ceramic, porcelain, or epoxy coatings.
Patching and repair of damaged, worn, or honeycombed concrete floor surfaces.
Heavy-duty floor toppings in warehouses, workshops, and commercial complexes across Egypt.
Substrate Preparation: Clean concrete thoroughly to remove oil, grease, and loose debris. Dampen surface to Saturated Surface Dry (SSD) condition.
Mixing Slurry: Blend Floorbond with water and neat cement according to specified mixing proportions until smooth.
Application Method: Apply slurry with a stiff broom/brush and apply the floor screed while the slurry coat remains wet (Wet-on-Wet).
