Insutech CF1

The CF1 System is characterized by its high adhesion to vertical surfaces and resistance to lateral soil pressure:

1. Concrete Wall Surface: Must be clean, smooth, and free from any tie-rod holes or protrusions.

2. Insucoat Primer: A high-penetration bituminous primer that prepares the substrate and ensures a monolithic bond between the wall and the membrane.

3. Vertical Bitumen Membrane (Insuultra / Insuprene): A 4mm thick, polymer-modified bitumen membrane (APP or SBS) torch-applied vertically with a minimum overlap of 10 cm.

4. Protection Board: A 4mm thick, high-density bituminous board fixed over the membrane to safeguard it from mechanical damage during soil backfilling or stone placement.

Consultants prioritize the CF1 system in the following structural scenarios:

• Basement Walls: To prevent "weeping" or dampness inside underground parking garages and storage facilities.

• Underground Water Tanks: Applied as an external layer to protect the tank structure from external groundwater and soil salts.

• Retaining Walls: In areas with high irrigation water levels or heavy seasonal rainfall.

• Integrated Raft Connection: Used in conjunction with the IF2 system (Raft Waterproofing) to ensure a continuous "waterproofing envelope" from the base to the sidewalk level.

• Vertical Stability: The membranes are formulated to resist sagging or sliding during application, even in high ambient temperatures.

• Mechanical Resistance: Provides a durable shield against Lateral Earth Pressure and potential damage from backfill materials.

• Detailing Ease: Simplifies technical detailing at corners (Internal/External), pipe penetrations, and joints.
