Kemabind
Kemabind
Kemabind is a high-performance, flexible liquid admixture engineered from premium synthetic rubber latex polymers and advanced water-resistant, anti-alkali acrylic emulsions.
Technical Property | Value / Description | Engineering Benefit |
Chemical Base | Advanced Synthetic Rubber Latex Emulsion | Complete resistance to saponification and hydrolysis in alkaline environments |
Appearance | Milky white fluid | Easy mixing validation ensuring uniform polymer distribution throughout the mortar |
Specific Gravity | Approx. $1.01 \pm 0.02$ kg/liter | Optimized consistency for instant dispersion in cement gauging water |
Compressive & Tensile Strengths | Marked escalation vs. standard mortars | High tolerance to mechanical structural stresses and heavy traffic |
Adhesion to Concrete | Exceeds the cohesive strength of concrete | Eradicates risk of delamination for new renders or patching compounds |

Incredible Structural Anchoring: Generates an inseparable chemical and mechanical bonding bridge between aged concrete and new overlays or spatterdash.
Low Permeability Waterproofing: Restructures cement pores, drastically diminishing capillary voids to repel water absorption and moisture migration.
Elastic Shrinkage Counteraction: Infuses internal flexibility into the mortar matrix, effectively neutralizing drying shrinkage stress and micro-cracks.
Enhanced Cohesion & Reduced Rebound: Confers an excellent thixotropic tackiness to plaster mixes, severely minimizing material wastage during application.
Rebar Rust Shielding: When blended into slurry coats, it provides a protective high-alkaline passivating film over structural steel during concrete repairs.
Preparing high-adhesion spatterdash (slurry key) over smooth fair-face concrete, structural walls, and ceilings.
Essential high-strength polymer modifier for concrete repair mortars (honeycombing patching, structural column, and beam restoration).
Enhancing heavy-duty tile bedding mortars for fixing large-format porcelain, marble, and industrial floor tiling.
Formulating non-shrink cementitious coves (angled fillets) at wall-to-floor junctions prior to applying liquid waterproofing membranes.
Upgrading industrial screeds and warehouse floor repairs to optimize abrasion resistance against heavy forklifts.
Substrate Preparation: Concrete surfaces must be mechanically sound, clean, and entirely free from loose spalls, form-release oils, dust, or curing compounds. Pre-wet the substrate thoroughly with municipal water, ensuring it reaches a saturated surface-dry (SSD) state without pooling.
Mixing & Application Methods:
As a Bonding Slurry Key: Blend 1 part Kemabind with 1 part clean water, then add cement and fine aggregate until a brushable slurry is achieved. Apply via a stiff brush onto the substrate. The repair mortar must be placed immediately over the slurry while it is still wet (Wet-on-Wet protocol).
As an Admixture Gauging Liquid: Add Kemabind into the mixing water at a dosage ranging from 10% to 20% by weight of cement, depending on specific project technical specifications. Mix thoroughly using a low-speed mechanical stirrer.
Curing Protocols: Modified mortars must be properly cured by water misting or covering with damp burlap sheets to allow optimum cement hydration and polymer film consolidation.
